Awards Announced

Sydney, September 2024 – The Optical Distributors and Manufacturers Association (ODMA) is excited to announce the upcoming ODMA Awards, set to take place in 2025. We invite independent optical practices and industry professionals across Australia to start preparing their submissions for these prestigious awards, which celebrate excellence, innovation, and outstanding service in the optical industry.

Award Categories and Submission Details:

Submissions open in February 2025 for the following categories:

1. Independent Practice of the Year
   Nominations can be made by both the practice itself or by providers. This award recognizes outstanding independent practices based on criteria such as renovations, team success, customer service, local community involvement, good news stories, staff retention, and financial or patient results.

2. Supplier of the Year
   Nominated by independent optical businesses, this award honours the supplier that consistently delivers outstanding service, innovation, and product quality. Let us know who your favourite supplier is and why they deserve recognition.

3. Top Customer Service Team
   This category celebrates exceptional customer service teams in the optical supply chain. Independent practices can nominate suppliers who have gone above and beyond in providing stellar customer care.

4. Sales Representative of the Year
   Nominate the sales representative who has delivered unparalleled service to your practice. We’re looking for stories of representatives who have provided extraordinary support and dedication.

5. Instrument of the Year
   Recognize the equipment that has made the most difference in your practice. Nominate the tool that enhances patient care and practice efficiency.

6. Versatile Frame of the Year
   Optometrists are invited to nominate up to three frames that stand out in versatility, style, and adaptability for various face shapes and color preferences.

7. Best Window Dressing
   Show off your creativity! Nominate your practice's most visually striking and effective window display with two images that best represent your efforts.

Judging Criteria:
All submissions will be carefully evaluated, and the judging process will consider various industry representations. The awards celebrate those who have gone above and beyond in driving the optical industry forward.
